• On 25 June 2018 the final Seminar of e-FishNet Project will be held.

The Final Seminar of the e-FishNet Project will take place on 25th June in the Conference Hall of Mercamadrid.
This activity has been organized by FEDEPESCA, the organization representing the Fish Retailer sector in Spain, in collaboration with all the organizations taking part in the Project and it is co-funded by the Erasmus + Programme of the European Union.
This event will consist of 5 different thematic blocks. There will be interesting lectures relating to training in the Fish Retailer Sector, customer’s opinions and market trends amongst other issues.


The main results of this Project will be presented. 9 organizations, from 6 different countries have taken part. First level lecturers representing organizations such as the Spanish Education Ministry, Fishmonger’s Company and the Spanish Consumers and Users Organization, amongst others, will be sharing their expertise with attendees. The results of in-depth research into the current situation of training focused in the Fish Retailer Sector in Europe, and an e-learning platform will be presented as Intellectual Outputs of this Project.
After the welcome, there will be a lecture concerning the main fish market trends and we will discover if Traditional fish shops have adapted to them.

After the lecture the first 'round table' of the Meeting will be held. Here the situation of training available to fishmongers in Europe will be presented. E- FishNet Project has carried out an in-depth study of training which is offered in different European countries. The results will be presented along with the challenges and opportunities identified and the final conclusions. Each lecture will be followed by a 'round table' forum where attendees may be able to address the lecturers directly – time permitting.

The subject of the second block will be Customer's Opinion During this Project a survey addressed to customers was been carried out in order to focus training and adapt it to the main customer´s needs. 620 people from 7 different countries took part in this survey and results and conclusions will be presented.

During the third block we will meet professional fishmongers coming from 5 different countries. They will recount their experience as fishmongers and their vision of training focused on their sector.

Finally, in the last block, different approaches and tools applied to training will play a principal role. They are necessary to keep the sector’s competitiveness and to ease the access to jobs. The e-FishNet e-learning platform, as the second intellectual output of this project will be presented.

To finish the Seminar, FEDEPESCA will present global results and conclusions of this Project. This event will be the perfect finale for this project focused on fishmonger’s training. It is expected that this project will improve the training offer for this collective in Europe.

e- FishNet is a project included in the Erasmus + Program and co-funded by the European Union. This Project started in September 2016 and will finish in September 2018, with a total period of 24 months. The consortium is composed of 9 Organizations from Iceland, Turkey, United Kingdom, Portugal and Spain and also we count on one organization with European scope. FEDEPESCA is the coordinator of this project, which aims to analyze different training schemes in fishmonger’s training in the member countries, create an international collaborative network and also develop an e-learning platform with e-learning content.
